Movie Monthly: Glass

By Ava Welsch & Katelyn Smith

M. Night Shyamalan. The man is a genius. He perfectly connects Unbreakable and Split into the third movie of this thrilling trilogy. The seamless incorporation of the two movies made for a mind-blowing masterpiece. The cast, plot twists, and satisfying ending proved M. Night Shyamalan can never fail.

The casting was flawless. The characters were played by the same actors throughout all three movies, keeping the trilogy consistent and satisfying. James McAvoy also played his part very well, giving all the different personalities distinct movements and mannerisms that added to the disturbing yet interesting portrayal of someone with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). The cast itself is iconic, Samuel L. Jackson always adds to the sophistication of a cast. Bruce Willis and Sarah Paulson are also, as always, amazing.

Storyline is crucial to the success a movie, and M. Night Shyamalan, impresses yet again. Every time it seemed the movie was coming to a close, a new plot development would emerge. The plot twists were seemingly never ending and astonishing.
