Blue Madonna by Garrett Borns is his second studio album produced by Thomas Schleiter. The release date of this indie pop album was January 12, 2018, hitting number forty nine on the US Billboard Top 200. The album was recorded in mid to late 2016 to early 2017. The first single Faded Heart was released in July 28th, 2017. Later in 2017, the record label, Interscope, released three more singles, including Sweet Dreams, I Don’t Want U Back and God Save Our Young Blood featuring singer Lana Del Ray. The total running time of this twelve track album is forty one minutes and thirty three seconds.

Garrett was born in Muskegon, Michigan on January 22nd, 1992, and was raised in Grand Haven, Michigan. At the young age of 10, Garrett was taking up the art of magic. His stage name? Garrett the Great. He was getting hired to do shows at birthday parties and retirement homes. When he was 13, in 7th grade at White Pines Middle School, he received the Gold Key Award from the National Scholastic Art Awards along with an $8,000 college scholarship.

Music Throwback Of The Month: Soundgarden Superunknown


Superunknown by Soundgarden was released on March 8th, 1994, the fourth studio album released by the band. Superunknown is known as Soundgarden’s ‘breakthrough’ album, selling over 310,000 albums in its first week of being on store shelves. Five singles were released prior to the official album sale. These songs include Spoonman, Black Hole Sun, The Day I Tried To Live, Fell on Black Days and My Wave. Superunknown was recorded at Bad Animals Studio in Seattle, Washington, produced by Michael Beinhorn and under the record label A&M. Soundgarden began the recording of Superunknown two months after their show at the 1992 Lollapalooza tour. Frontman Chris Cornell, gave the band members more freedom to play and write than past albums. Superunknown represents both their heavy-metal type sound and their newly evolving grunge style. This fifteen track album has a seventy minute and thirteen second running time, making the listener go on a trip of violence and compassion. Soundgarden’s members include Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron.
