Katelyn is a swimmer for Centennial and NSAC swim club, she spends the majority of her time at the pool. She enjoys volunteering at church and as a Special Olympics coach. Her favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:6. She enjoys math and english. She doesn’t have any siblings, but she does have a golden retriever named Watson that she loves very much.
Kaya joined Cougar Nation News as a freshman and is excited to delve into cutting-edge, unbiased, and brutally honest journalism that exposes the heart of the issue at hand. She's also excited to cover news at CHS. In between contemplating a career with the CIA and creating an endless slew of excuses to dodge outdoor adventures with her family, Kaya plays and coaches volleyball, searches for the elusive Sasquatch, and enjoys timeless 1980s television classics, like Magnum, P.I., MacGuyver, and the A-Team.
A sharp dresser and political enthusiast, Bill burns his time obsessing over his grades and doing homework. He doesn't think that his life is boring, he thinks it's goal-oriented. He likes Netflix and chill on the weekends though. People also think that he's a little bit... eccentric, to say the least, but who knows, he might be Minnesota's Representative for the 5th Congressional district in the future!
Bradley Short is an junior that joined Cougar Nation News in March, and loves writing the articles, as well as formatting all of the articles. He has taken French for two years, and loves math and computer technologies! For fun, Bradley enjoys bowling, playing soccer, and reading books.
Abby Beddow is an adventurous junior that joined the Cougar Nation News in March 2018 and has a blast writing and editing article for everyone to read. She has played the flute for six years and is excited to play in the Centennial Wind Ensemble. She enjoys studying History, French or any books she can get her hands on in the school library. She has two siblings and a dog name Trixie. She loves to travel and write about anything interesting she sees or hears.
Ava Welsch is an animal-loving, food eating, and breathing extraordinaire. She is a junior who spends her time procrastinating, and then stressing about not having her homework done. Ava is also an avid band nerd, who plays the alto saxophone. She is super cool and thinks that everyone should join newspaper.
Maggie joined newspaper as an excited freshman in 2018, ready to see what CHS was all about. Now as a sophomore she explores the advances of technology and is eager to share all of the facts. She loves animals and is hoping to one day become a veterinarian. She plays the flute in the Centennial Marching Band, is in Science Olympiad and Girl Scouts.
Victoria joined newspaper this year as a junior because of her passion for writing. She does Future Problem Solvers and plays the trombone for marching band, both of which she greatly enjoys. She is also interested in psychology, and wishes to work in that field.
Senior Alyssa Vue joined Newspaper mid-junior year to pursue her passion for reading and writing. She strives to promote school spirit through CHS-centered articles while maturing as a stronger, more compelling writer. When's she not buzzing over classes and clubs, she loves volunteering, working at Dairy Queen, scrutinizing entertainment media, and caring for her Siberian husky, Hazel.
